We offer a beekeeping service the same as someone would hire a “pool boy”. You own the hives, and everything in it, we offer the care they need, the honey extraction services, the bottling of your honey in the containers you desire, and the handling of the alternative products from the hives such as wax from the honey harvesting process. You get the bragging rights to the honey bees and we’ve found that there is nothing sweeter than giving fresh, raw, organic honey as gifts to friends and family that you can say came straight from your hives.

If you are considering our honey bee services, we offer a one time, free consultation at your prospective location to see if your property is a good fit for honey bees and their needs. The state of Florida allows for homeowners to have hives on their properties, no matter what the size of your property. There are best practices for beekeepers and we can provide you with documentation (if requested) to have for your records, but our services are designed to relieve you of that headache. The only legally binding restriction to honey bees on your property can be implemented by home owners associations – of which the property owner should be aware before we supply honey bees and honey bee services. The Florida statute regulating honey bees can be found here.

We also offer nucleus colonies for sale two times a year when the bees are big and strong if you’d like to have the full hands on experience. If you’d like, we offer as needed, on-site tutoring as well.

If you would like to have a payment ready, we are glad to receive payment during service, but due to time constraints, we invoice our clients at the end of each month for routine maintenance services.

Unfortunately, due to the limited time we have to spend on each client’s lawn within our limited operating hours, we are unable to install plants in any amount as this falls under the category of landscaping – a distinctly separate service from our lawn maintenance. Factors that prevent us from installing plants include, but aren’t limited to, setup, acquisition and travel time to and from our nursery suppliers, cleanup, necessary watering while installing, and more.

Due to many unknown variables, we cannot install plants you’ve purchased yourself. As our reputation depends on not just the results, but how we achieve those results, we cannot accept liability for the plants that have been purchased by the client.

We also understand that cost may be a factor in landscaping and the idea of purchasing the materials to save money may have crossed your mind. While we appreciate this, we have developed relationships with professional growers from whom we purchase our plants. We get pricing that reflects the same as what your supplier is getting and we mark our materials up accordingly which just so happens to be the same as what you’d be paying at the store. There are no measurable savings by purchasing the plants yourself.

Kairos Landscaping offers free consultations for the purposes of determining whether we can offer solutions to your needs.

However, Kairos Landscaping applies the $300 fee if the designs for the landscape install are agreed upon based on the drawn concept and the written agreement. You will receive relevant information for making a purchasing decision. Details include, but are not limited to: 2D designs, or 3D rendering, square footage of a project, irrigation layout, parts list, or other applicable information.

Doctors charge for MRIs, attorneys charge for discovery, architects charge for blueprints, accountants charge for audits, and we charge for designs.

The amount of time it takes for concept planning, scheduling, materials acquisition, transport, job site preparation, installation, watering, cleanup, and more, we charge minimum pricing to protect our time.

As of January, 2023, our minimum pricing structure is $850 USD for installations.

Since landscape removals are different than landscape installs in that we only have to do removal and waste disposal, we charge a lower minimum rate for yard and landscape clean outs. Our minimum price is $250 for yard and landscape clean out services. This does not apply to existing clients that already receive services on a routine basis.

We charge more if you’re involved.

We do not warranty our plants, as this is not a practice found in the landscaping industry.

While the grass may take a break during certain times of the year – i.e. the grass goes dormant – we still only have a certain time we can allocate for each yard during our lawn maintenance routine even during the “dormant” season. When the grass goes dormant, there are pre-planned activities we anticipate that we need to get caught up on during those times of the year, such as blowing out accumulated leaves from under bushes, trimming back certain bushes, pulling vines and weeds, etc. What we cannot do is full makeovers of part of the yard that produces large amounts of waste that needs to be bundled and hauled away. We have a limited amount of time where we can complete a specific amount of work so we can service the community at large in a timely manner.

We ask that if there is something important to you, or a vision you have of your yard that you wish to see come to life that would help you to better enjoy your kairos, please make a list of requests and allow us to work in what we have time for – but please remember that those are just that – requests. The best way to communicate those needs is to email us. Other than the time we have allocated for routine lawn maintenance, we have a minimum pricing structure for projects and will need to conduct a consultation with a written agreement before work can begin on certain activities.

While we appreciate this question, we have come to realize that the motivation (most of the time) comes from our clients wondering if they will be wasting their money during the cooler season.

We have a myriad of activities we incorporate into the dormant season that many people may not think because of the old adage “out of site, out of mind”. Many factors depend on your specific needs, but some activities include trimming up hedge rows, blowing out leaves from under the bushes that have accumulated throughout the year, raking leaves during the fall, pruning certain types of shrubs such as ornamental gingers, pruning palm trees and crepe myrtles, reshaping plants (if needed), cleaning out gutters, and much more.

What we always strive for is a pristine yard that you don’t have to worry about maintaining so you can always enjoy your kairos.

If nobody is home, we must stick to the lawn maintenance routine when we arrive due to tight scheduling and fuel costs. We cannot alter the navigational aspects of the lawn care routine to accommodate the homeowner being home during routine lawn service.

While we understand a desire to keep your property safe from trespassers, we suggest having a combination lock on your gate, of which you share the combination with us, so we can take care of the property without interruptions to your schedule. While striving to keep on schedule, there are many factors that may prevent us from serving your needs on a very specific day. We cannot adjust the amount on the invoice (without a written change order) due to not being able to tend to an area that is inaccessible.

We deeply respect a need for privacy and security. At this time, we cannot accommodate communication with every client before hand and perform the routine tasks our lawn care professionals need to execute to deliver the best service possible.

The fairest way for lawn care in Florida for both a client and professional lawn care service provider is to charge a flat fee for lawn care year round.

We like to be able to feed our families during the winter, when the grass has gone dormant. Even when the turf is dormant, we are still striving towards an immaculate yard year round. Our pricing structure is based on the number of times we service your lawn in a year, divided up into twelve averaged payments. This is the best option for the client AND the professional lawn care company. It also keeps our bookkeeper’s hairline from receding any more than it has to. This pricing structure creates stability when we work hard during the summer and take it easy during the winter. Lastly, it allows us to manage your property so you don’t have to. There is a slump during the holidays that takes the focus off the yard – until things get out of hand – and once that happens, a yard cleanup is needed and becomes a headache due to extra costs and fees to bring the property back into compliance.

Our clients are not paying for a specific number of service calls per month to their property. They are paying for stability and results.

We provide you with a clean and inviting outdoor living space – year round – according to your budget.

WE SHOW UP ON A REGULAR, CONSISTENT BASIS – or in other words, dependability.

38-42 visits per year – weekly from approximately April to October, biweekly from November to March

Our standard package includes, but isn’t limited to:

  1. Lawn mowing
  2. Edging driveways, sidewalks, garden beds
  3. Weedeating
  4. Hedge trimming up to 25 linear feet, up to 7 feet in height, and up to four inches of new growth – as needed or, during the summer, every third visit.
  5. Trimming of small tree branches and palms 12 feet and under
  6. Blowing off all standing surfaces
  7. A keen set of eyes to indicate any problems on your property that you should be aware of
  8. During the winter, you can expect leaf management, such as blowing and raking leaves from the turf or behind bushes. Pulling of vines from bushes, pulling of weeds, etc.
In rare, special circumstances, we tailor a lawn care package for specific budgetary needs.
